I took my truck to this repair shop for an SCR fault with power reduction, the engine light on, and a very loud fan. I noted that the truck completed a parked regen. The next day, I called to ask if they had diagnosed the problem. They said they had and texted me a list of parts that needed replacement. According to 'their diagnosis', all emissions sensors were bad, along with the fan clutch and fan solenoid. That didn’t make sense to me, six sensors don’t typically fail all at once, especially considering the truck had just completed a 45 minute parked regen the day before. I went back and asked for a diagnostic report or fault codes, but they couldn’t provide any. When I questioned how they identified the issues, they said they had connected a computer but the Cummins/Peterbilt system doesn’t allow them to print a report. At that point, I decided not to sign off any repairs without seeing the actual fault codes. Eventually, the mechanic connected their JPRO or whatever software they use while I was there. When I say Dr Diesel is a unicorn in the trucking industry. It’s rare to find a shop that has integrity & accountability. And not trying to price gouge your pockets. My only gripe is I wish Dr Diesel worked on more brands of trucks lol. Because HE WOULD DEFINITELY get ALL of our business. He is hands down the best shop around. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Diesel for any trucking repairs.

I have being dealing with dr diesel shop for my engine rebuild and other major repairs on my Freightliner’s for more than 8years, they really good with their work especially Freightliner’s.

I was lied to about diagnoses. They said the problem was many things. And quoted me at about 4800$. The problem was taken care of with 10$. Fuse I read all the other comments.. and i heard this guy is actually a very good mechanic. I dont think theres a reason to steal from people. He is constantly busy, seems to be doing good. Theres no reason to lie and cheat. That kind of attitude makes the community a worst place to live in. We need to do better. lets all do better.

This shop used to be my favorite one in Columbus, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I brought my truck in for an exhaust leak inspection, turbo inspection, and replacement of the steering gearbox seal. My truck stayed there for a full week, which caused serious downtime and lost income for me as an owner-operator. I was told the turbo gasket needed replacement, the exhaust manifold required repair, and the steering gearbox seal was replaced. I was charged nearly $3,400. After picking up the truck, everything they worked on is still leaking — and in some cases worse than before. The exhaust leak remains, the turbo area is still leaking, and the steering gearbox is leaking more than it did previously. The only repair that was properly completed was the heater core work. I took clear photos and sent them to the office, but the response I received did not properly address the issues. A week of downtime and $3,400 later, with most of the original problems still there, is unacceptable. Very disappointed.
